ChatGPT answers are becoming more interactive. OpenAI’s 7 October announcement introduces Intelligent UI, allowing responses to combine text with graphics, buttons, forms and charts that users can interact with inside a conversation.
What you need to know
The rollout began with Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise, with Free and Go following from 8 October. Enterprise access depends on admin settings. The update concerns ChatGPT’s Chat experience; it does not change the models powering Work or Codex as part of this release.

What an interactive answer can do
OpenAI describes responses that adapt their presentation to the question: a visual explanation, a comparison or a small interactive tool. It says ChatGPT can also answer in ordinary text when that is more useful.
A practical way to try it is to choose a task with inputs you can check yourself. Ask for a bill-splitting calculator using invented amounts, or a diagram explaining a familiar process. Then change an input and see whether the explanation and calculation still agree.

Check the answer behind the interface
Our recommendation is to treat presentation and accuracy as separate checks. A clear chart can make an answer easier to understand, but it cannot establish that the figures used to draw it are correct.
For a calculator, ask ChatGPT to show the formula and work through one example in text. For a comparison, ask where the information came from and when it was checked. For a schedule, specify the date and time zone instead of leaving them implicit.
Begin with a small example whose result you already know.
Ask for assumptions, units and any source dates alongside the visual response.
Change one input at a time and check that the output changes as expected.
Before relying on the result, request a plain-text version you can review or save.

Availability can differ between accounts
OpenAI describes a rollout, so the announcement date should not be read as confirmation that every account immediately shows the feature. Its stated model split is Sol for the listed paid tiers and Luna for Free and Go.

If you do not see an interactive response, try a clear request for one and check your account’s current interface. In a managed workplace, ask the administrator about availability. Avoid assuming that a screenshot from another account shows exactly what yours should display.
Keep a useful record
For work you need to share, save the key numbers, assumptions and sources as well as the visual result. That lets someone else assess the answer without having to reconstruct your whole conversation.
When the topic is a current offer or a news event, ask for the original source. The ability to produce an interface and the ability to retrieve current information are separate things to verify.
