This is important because first hand experience is relatable and you want to avoid the errors made by others.

Origin Broadband’s Market Position

Origin Broadband have positioned themselves as a bundle and save provider. What does that mean? Well due to their vast arrays of energy deals, you get some great perks for taking your Internet across to Origin.

The standalone product of just broadband and bundling with an energy plan is decent, it’s not the cheapest but also not the most expensive.

When you’re exploring options for reliable internet, knowing exactly what a provider offers is crucial. Origin Broadband presents a good stack of services tailored to meet the market with price and speed.

    Cost and Pricing

If you’re considering Origin Broadband, it’s important to assess the pricing structure and determine how the cost compares to the value offered.

Let’s break down the expense and what you get for your money.

    Origin Broadband Prices

Origin Broadband’s prices vary based on the speed tier and any additional services you choose. Typically, you can expect to pay more for plans with higher speeds.

For example, Origin’s NBN 100 plan is praised for its high evening speeds, which may be ideal if your household has heavy internet usage during peak hours.

Whilst, more budget-friendly plans like NBN 25 offer sufficient speed for everyday use. If I had to rate the pricing, I’d give it 4 stars as it’s competitive and does offer great speeds.

The plans range in price from $74 to $129 per month.

    Customer Support

When you’re dealing with connection issues or just need some questions answered, it’s reassuring to know that Origin Broadband has effective customer support channels and service quality that aims to resolve problems promptly and courteously.

The worst thing for any provider, is poor customer service which leads to incredibly frustrating customer experiences.

Problems have been tackled with effort, although issues like router faults may take time due to equipment replacements.

    My Experience With Origin Broadband

When I went to the website to sign up, they couldn’t find my address! So i had to call and the customer service was great. They raised something called a service request and they called me back within a week.

The sign up process was easy and the delivery and activation was quick. I had issues with my speed to begin with, however I did get in touch with customer support who helped reboot my modem.

I did find it frustrating to get in touch initially with the customer support team but the job eventually got done.

The plan I was on was 100mbps and I peaked a total 97mbps at max speeds, so it definitely delivered.

Overall, the experience was good, I was annoyed by the one week wait to get my address registered, especially considering I have had nbn with 9 other providers in the past.

That said, after the initial issues, everything was fine and support was prompt.
